News & Updates:

Sandy Campbell will appear as Sarah in Cygnet Theatre's production of Alan Ayckbourn's legendary comic trilogy THE NORMAN CONQUESTS: Sean Murray and Francis Gercke team up to direct The Norman Conquests, which chronicles a single weekend spent by six hapless characters at an English country estate. Each play in the trilogy depicts the events in a different part of the house (dining room, living room, garden) and is cleverly interwoven with the others to great comic effect.

Alan Ayckbourn is one of the world's most popular and prolific playwrights, having written a total of 74 full length plays. Sandy's performance as Ruella in Cygnet's production of Ayckbourn's Communicating Doors earned her the 2007 Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Featured Performance. She is joined in this production by previous castmates Albert Dayan (Noises Off), Jo Anne Glover (The Adoption Project: Triad) and Danny Campbell (Lips Together, Teeth Apart). San Diego standouts Ron Choularton and Frances Rivera complete the six-character cast.

The Norman Conquests opens August 7, 2010 for a three-month run. Audiences will have several opportunities (August 7th, September 18, October 9th) to see all three plays in the trilogy in a single day. Check the Cygnet website for complete schedule and ticket information.
